How TripActions is Supporting Our Travelers Through COVID-19
As a customer-obsessed organization, we want to make sure travelers and travel managers using TripActions are taken care of during every step of the business travel journey. During the rapidly changing circumstances of COVID-19, we’re investing heavily in ensuring companies’ business travel continuity plans are successful.
We’re in this together. The enhancements that we make today solve immediate needs and can also be leveraged to shape travel programs and better manage traveler safety when conditions improve.
TripActions is committed to regularly innovating our features and products so our customers have timely access to information and tools that are critical for ensuring duty of care and business travel continuity. We have introduced the following enhanced travel safety offerings to help prepare and support our customers through the coronavirus pandemic.
Through our integrated reporting dashboard, seamlessly monitor the latest coronavirus developments and their impact to your travelers. The TripActions coronavirus dashboard gives admins an at-a-glance view of impacted travelers, the maximum costs associated with canceling impacted travel, and recent news updates — all so they can take appropriate action to ensure traveler safety.
Data is the most useful thing to companies in these uncertain times. The coronavirus dashboard enables organizations to harness travel insights and implement the necessary changes to policies that keep travelers safe and enable business travel continuity.
COVID-19 is fluid and travel conditions are changing rapidly. As countries raise travel alert levels, we’ve added platform functionality to blacklist countries, cities, and continents in your travel policy.
Blacklisting ensures traveler safety by preventing them from booking travel to continents and countries where travelers are at risk. In the TripActions Admin Dashboard, admins can now block travel to and within specific cities and countries, as well as a specific mile radius around the city. Blacklisting is available for any region, not just those impacted by COVID-19.
The TripActions Community Forum is a public online forum available to the business travel community worldwide, designed to empower you to make the most of business travel in your organization.
Initially, the forum will serve as a hub to discuss how to manage the impact of the coronavirus on business continuity worldwide. From best practices for traveler safety, to reviewing regional travel guidelines and refund or cancellation policies, we invite you to share ideas and learn from your peers in the industry.
Ensuring companies are able to act on the possibility of unexpected changes to business travel schedules for any given employee means enabling communication that is reliable and can function across many channels.
Our team of global travel agents are on hand 24/7 365 days a year, to help manage bookings from flights to hotels for all employees. They can be reached via chat through the TripActions app or on desktop, by phone, and by email. No matter what circumstance your traveler is in, they can get the support they need.
If you’re interested in learning more about the actions you can take internally to ensure you’re prepared for the unexpected in business travel continuity, read our new ebook ‘Prioritizing Duty of Care for Global Emergencies’.
