TripActions and Lufthansa Group Launch Unprecedented Corporate Travel Partnership

Today, TripActions and the Lufthansa Group airlines launched BusinessToGo, an innovative business travel booking platform built for small and mid-sized (SME) customers of the Lufthansa Group in Germany, Austria, Switzerland (DACH region) and Belgium. Powered by new distribution capability (NDC), the all-in-one travel platform offers businesses and their travelers the advanced, user-friendly technology of the TripActions platform combined with the Lufthansa Group airlines’ best-in-class inventory.

BusinessToGo is the first and only corporate travel platform to allow customers to not only earn PartnerPlusBenefit points through Lufthansa Group’s corporate loyalty program, but to redeem those corporate loyalty points directly on the platform.

These customers can now book and manage all aspects of a business trip in a single platform, including flights, hotels, car, and rail travel. Companies can select from two packages to suit their needs: Essentials and Premium. In both versions, companies can access the entire range of flights from the Lufthansa Group and its joint venture partners, as well as a broad range of hotel, rail, and rental car inventory from TripActions. 

More broadly, all Lufthansa Group PartnerPlusBenefit members can now link their corporate loyalty account to the platform, allowing users to see where and how they can spend their points. Plus, travelers and their companies will benefit from having this functionality available within a full-service travel booking and servicing ecosystem.

Customers also benefit from the cutting-edge capabilities TripActions’ technology provides, such as enhanced policy and profile management, duty of care and CO2 emissions reporting, real-time travel management information, 24/7 support, and centralized billing, all of which enable the holistic management of a company’s travel program. 

With the Premium package, customers gain access to book air with other airlines, receive personal on-boarding and support in configuring the platform, gain HR and SSO integrations, and have access to additional features required of larger travel programs. 

TripActions is excited to see the results of a winning collaboration between TripActions and Lufthansa Group airlines go live after the initial announcement in December. BusinessToGo is available immediately in the DACH home markets of Lufthansa Group airlines, with plans to roll the offering out in additional markets. Further offers and functionalities will be added over the course of the year.
