April 2020 was an interesting moment to launch a travel podcast.

The world was coming to terms with lockdowns and travel restrictions. Business class seats flew empty. Hotel room minibars went untouched.

But underneath the apparent lull, something fascinating was happening: In home offices (and kitchen tables) around the world, travel managers, developers, finance leaders, risk advisors, and stakeholders throughout the corporate travel industry were hard at work.

How will we manage in the short term? What does this mean for the long term? How do we take care of our employees? How do we cut our losses and prepare for the future?

Open for Business: A Corporate T&E Podcast Powered by TripActions was launched in April 2020 to capture the conversations happening in real time. The TripActions team set out to create a positive, honest space where the many T&E topics on the minds of business travelers, corporate travel managers and finance, operations and HR leaders could be discussed freely.

Our guests were big-picture thinkers and decision-makers who shared unique perspectives and a specific depth of knowledge with our audience. While each and every episode is worth a listen (most are just 30 minutes long), for the sake of your holiday walks, we’re sharing the 5 most downloaded episodes:
