Director, Partner Operations - Post-Booking

We are looking for an experienced leader to help TripActions provide high quality, efficient fulfillment services to our travelers. This leader will introduce and enhance new automation while also being responsible for manual processes. TravelOps has several specialized teams, and this leader will own all Mid and Back Office Operations. The person in this role will be responsible for manual processes, ensuring they are done efficiently and incentivizing the team to automate even more.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead a global team of experienced Travel Operations professionals  to fully develop scalable processes with measured outcomes
  • Develop careers, set vision and ambitious goals, foster a collaborative environment, share best practices, provide hands-on coaching and mentorship for your reports, and make priority and resource allocation trade-offs
  • Develop the long-term vision and strategy for the team and lead major initiatives which span over multiple cross functional teams and regions 
  • Align with Partnerships, Product, Engineering, third parties and other cross-functional leaders to properly meet the operational needs of our business, and act as an owner yourself for certain projects that cut across the teams
  • Responsible for leading the teams that drive automation and manual handling of mid and back office functions including but not limited to Ticketing, Airline initiated schedule change, Queue Management, Settlement and Reporting, Debit memos and other regulatory and compliance activities
  • Manage operational relationship and work with internal and external partners to deliver a supplier agnostic automation platform for fulfillment activities
  • Define processes and oversee manual activities performed by agents
  • Manage teams that are responsible for analyzing manual tasks performed by agents and proactively troubleshoot transactions that fail automation and maintain the efficiency and accuracy of all processes end-to-end 
  • Develop, track and hold the teams accountable for KPIs
  • Ensure all process and procedures are up to date and compliant with regulatory guidelines

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years in travel agency, air/lodging/car supplier and/or related fields with experience working in a multi-provider environment
  • 10+ years experience building, leading and retaining operational teams
  • Experience in managing outsourced site operations and vendor relationships
  • Experience working as part of a global, cross-functional team and working with all levels
  • An ability to execute on and deliver complex operational and technical projects involving multiple stakeholders with minimal guidance, and a high degree of uncertainty and ambiguity
  • An understanding of product strategy and key requirements for scaling products and operations through partnerships, especially with a “users first” mentality
  • Demonstrated history of collaborative leadership to build consensus across multiple teams producing end to end results for partners and end users
  • Expert negotiator, developing creative solutions to problems or barriers
  • Savvy and clear communicator, story teller and presenter to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Outstanding analytic prowess to drive data analysis with or without the aid of additional resources
